Where there were two towers, there will now be one.

A giant Muslim mosque that is scheduled to be built at Ground Zero, that area of New York where the World Trade Center once stood, has been given the blessing of the city's mayor, Michael Bloomberg, who is obviously a bit mad.

Critics have said the building of a mosque anywhere on the US mainland, and especially at this particular location, is an affront to the American nation, and should be resisted 'with all strength', but Mayor Bloomberg has responded, saying "Muslim religious freedom must be respected."

Bloomberg, wearing a burqa and sporting a new long beard, told gathered members of the media that it was only right that Muslims should be free to express themselves in whatever way they saw fit, even if that meant they were allowed to destroy the rest of New York with better-placed and bigger explosive devices than the ones used in the 9/11 attacks.

Mayor Bloomberg assumed office in November 2001, just after the clean-up of the WTC site had commenced.

The attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001 killed a total of 2,995 people, including the 19 hijackers of the aeroplanes, two of which smashed into the Twin Towers, reducing them to a pile of rubble.

But they say that, out of every disaster, something good springs, and out of that rubble, will now spring a fine, upstanding Moslem mosque, a place where those of Muslim persuasion will be free to practise and preach their filthy rhetoric, unhindered, as they go about their business of bringing America to her knees.

And Britain will be next. You just wait and see.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
