Howard Stern, controversial personality / shock jock and self proclaimed, "King Of All Media" has announced he will be protesting to the entire world about the indictments handed down against Pornographer John Stagliano, Owner of Evil Angel Productions. Stern, a aggressive proponent for the personal rights provided by the first amendment, was overheard saying, this sort of thing is ridicules, it's 2010. It's puritanical.
Stagliano was indicted on three counts of obscenity, after his Evil Angel website shipped two DVDs, made and produced in L.A., to Washington DC. Apparently the person who ordered Milk Nymphos, and Storm Squirters 2, thought the DVDs were related to Prize Herford milking techniques, and weather patterns over mid-western North America. When they saw the content of the video's, they were appalled, instead of teats, they got tits, instead of gale winds, they got Gail blowing, but not the wind. They did manage to hang around, and navigate the website long enough to take in a trailer of an upcoming film. Obviously, the XXX rated advertisement was not enough warning too the easily offended.
John Stagliano was a Chippendale dancer, turned adult film performer. He then advanced into producing and directing, which in turn, led him to open the production and distribution company, "Evil Angel Productions". Two of the OG's of porn Joey Silvera and John Leslie signed up with Evil Angel as directors and Stagliano himself popularized The Buttman series. Some credit Stagliano with being the father of the no nonsense, "Hi what's your name? wanna Fuck???" cinema verete style of shooting called, gonzo. It's a production style that puts the viewer in the scene as opposed to watching as an observer. Evil Angel's director roster boasts some 15 directors producing the most popular DVD's in the adult industry
"What we need right now is a CALL TO GONZO , participate in this issue, don't just watch" urges Stern, the only reason I have the right to say what I want to on satellite, is because of guys like John, he's one of the people really putting his ass on the line for you and me. Stern went on to say, I owe a debt of gratitude and support to the pornographers that supplied my show with wacky girls for decades. I'm on my soap box on this one, The old Howard is back, I haven't been this worked up since I knocked off Mark and Brian in L. A. I'm a rebel with a cause!
Stagliano is married with one child, he faces a 35-year sentence if convicted, in addition the Federal Government is trying to seize all Stagliano's assets accumulated over the last 20 years. The trial is due to begin in two weeks in Washington DC
A congresswoman when questioned about this issue said:
Pornographers and Shock Jocks, they should all be thrown in jail. One reporter asked the congresswoman if she had ever listened to Howard Stern or watched porno replied, "No to both, but I when I step in it, I don't need to see it, to know what it is.
Some people consider this trial to be the most important freedom of speech issue since the persecution of famed comedian Lenny Bruce.
