HOLLYWOOD - Rolling Stone Magazine has just confirmed that American Idol's Adam Lambert and Elvis Presley's Lisa Marie Presley have signed on to make a motion picture tribute to Michael Jackson titled, The Thrilling Singing and Dancing Story of Michael Jackson.
The movie's title has been changed from its original title which was The Thrilling Story of Michael Jackson.
The movie based on the book Moonwalk This by Antoinette Robstown will be a Lion's Gate production in association with Left Coast Pictures and The San Andreas Fault Production Company.
The film's director Fontenot Yuba-Sugarpound stated that when he was searching for the individual to play Michael Jackson the first person who came to mind was Adam Lambert.
Yuba-Sugarpound noted that both are fantastic singers, both are tremendous dancers, and both are white.
He added that Denzel Washington called him up requesting to play the part of Michael but he had to turn him down because he was black.
Yuba-Sugarpound confessed that his second choice for the Jackson part was Diana Ross. He said that as strange as that may sound Michael's voice was very similar to the former leader of the Supremes.
He did say that although Ms. Ross was quite receptive to the basic idea she did balk at the notion of having to dress extremely flamboyant, getting her lips decollagenized, and having to get a breast reduction.
Lisa Marie was the first and only choice to play the part of Michael's first wife, Lisa Marie Presley (contrary to what Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Wynonna Judd may say).
The film's producer Wallula Lostharbor said that she and Yuba-Sugarpound both agreed that Lisa Marie is definitely the best choice to portray Lisa Marie Presley, especially with that unique Elvis Presley lippy pout that only Lisa Marie and her dad have.
Lostharbor took a puff of her Marlboro Light, and a sip of her Alabama Slammer, and said that Lisa Marie was born to play the part of Lisa Marie Presley.
When Lisa Marie was asked for her thoughts on playing Michael Jackson's first wife (and first ex-wife) she smiled, flipped back her hair and said that she was absolutely honored beyond words.
She remarked that she was 100 percent certain that she could get all of Lisa Marie's mannerisms down perfect.
Ms. Presley chuckled and said that she really and truly hopes that she can do justice to the part.
The film's director Fontenot Yuba-Sugarpound said that the movie will be filmed in Shreveport, Louisiana with some location shooting in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada (for the Indiana winter scenes) and on the grounds of the Neverland Ranch (for the Neverland Ranch scenes).
SIDENOTE: Adam Lambert reportedly confided to Ryan Seacrest that there are three woman in the entire world who could probably change him from being gay to being straight. When Seacrest asked for the three names, Lambert said, Carrie Underwood, Keira Knightley, and Lisa Marie Presley.
