Elizabeth Taylor has reportedly been hospitalized in Los Angeles for her grief over the death of her close friend Michael Jackson.
The New York Post reports that Ms. Taylor is suffering from "weakness, tiredness, the shingles, exhaustion, Swine Flu, sexual and emotional draining" following Jackson's sudden turn for the worst and died on June 25. The actress has allegedly not stopped crying since learning of his death, but sometimes stops and asks herself, "What am I crying about? Oh yeah, Richard....I mean, Michael."
Taylor was reportedly rushed to a L.A. hospital from her Beverly Hills home on Monday evening. Details on her condition have not been released. Taylor has not commented from the hospital or sent out a message.
The 77-year-old actress didn't attend Jackson's memorial last Tuesday, saying she wanted "to grieve all alone with my thoughts."
"I cannot be a part of all the public whoopla. And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word. I just don't believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us. Not a public event," she wrote on her Twitter page, Sunday.
Later she wrote that she had already packed for a trip to London to attend his new tour, when she heard the news.
"I have a photo of him with "Love of my life" written on it. We were so much alike."
"Of course I have one of Richard (Sir Richard Burton) with the same thing. Richard and I were so much alike."
"And here's one of Eddie Fisher. How I miss Eddie. They said I stole him from Debbie. But he came on his own. He always said that we were so much alike."
That was Sunday.
