The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) announced today they could no longer remain neutral in the Presidential race in light of revelations that President Bush has been engaged in a long term love triangle of a sort with his wife and Barney, the family dog.
News of the affair surfaced when photographers caught the illicit pair canoodling in the bushes at Camp David. The photographs, most of which will never see the light of day, purport to contain images of Barney and the President ‘doing it dog style," according to AP photograph editor Melvin Brant. "Let's just say that Barney was not the recipient and go no further."
Mrs. Bush reportedly was shocked when shown the photographs of the President in compromising situations with the family pet, but voiced support for her husband.
Bush Administration spokesman, Larry Melville described the photos as "obviously a Photoshop invention" and blamed the whole story on Democrat lies. "They are just best friends," he said.
