The Welsh nationalist party, Plaid Cymru has announced their intentions to allow farm animals to be able to vote in elections.
The plans announced to electorate officials today dictates that Cows, Sheep, Pigs and all other animals with a major farming influence will be able to poll votes at all electoral levels.
The announcement of the plans follows the party's poor showing at the last elections and research into ways of increasing the vote. It transpired that 87% of Welsh creatures and even 54% of animals elsewhere would vote for the party if a candidate stood in their locality, this could be because of recent whisperings in the popular Welsh rumour mill, the Powys Women's Institute Seasonal Newsletter. Reports suggested that many Plaid Cymru members were descended from sheep and goats rather than apes. The officials are yet to respond.
