Cornie Johanssen of International Falls filed divorce papers today to his wife of 20 years for leaving him for the weather channel.
It all started innocently enough said Cornie. His wife Johanna would begin each day by watching the weather channel before bundling up their two small children for the Minnesota winter to go to school.
As the children grew Cornie noticed his wife continued her daily vigil even though the children had become old enough to dress themselves properly for the cold.
Leaving work early one day to shovel snow Cornie was shocked to walk-in on his wife in bed with her arms wrapped around the television set turned on to the weather channel.
Startled, Johanna quickly replied, this is not what it appears to be.
Cornie later discovered large numbers of back issues of the TV guide with the weather channel circled vigorously.
