Three new Bush Campaign ads that feature the smoldering ruins of the World Trade Center have ignited criticism from the families of the victims, Democrats and anyone with a working moral compass. But it's not just the President's ads which are very offensive; this kind of "EXPLOITATION" has gone on across the entire political spectrum for way too long.
Throughout the centuries most office seekers have jumped on the issue bandwagon of the day only in order to fill their insatiable lust for personal power over the weak. Ironically it is the weak and their plight which ignite the spark of the election cannon that hurls the politicians over the common man and into office.
Here we shall run down those issues that make up the candidates' platforms; those which are used in political ads, stump speeches, debates, and cheesy flash animations. But no matter what the medium or which party uses them, everyone agrees that they are all merciless EXPLOITATION nonetheless...
Whether it's our current situation or just war/peace in general, this is one topic which should be completely avoided. How could anybody take advantage of people who are affected by this destruction and misery?
Even those who are anti-war show pictures and clips of people suffering because of the conflicts they find themselves in. Stock footage of nuclear explosions is popular too. It doesn't matter which side you're on, stop EXPLOITING people!
This goes for gun control, capital punishment and Vietnam as well.
There are animals and plants affected every day by our declining environment. Global warming not only is poised to destroy humanity in the near future, but people get really nasty sunburns - and that's happening now!
And yet despite little critters losing their homes/lives to deforestation and hunting, and despite people having to drink dirty/polluted/toxic water, politicians insist on bringing it up. Pictures of cleared out sections of the rain forest and rotting beached whales are a popular ploy to tug at heart strings.
How must it feel for those persons (and animals) to have their situation "USED" by someone (maybe not even from their own country!) as a means of attaining complete unadulterated power. Disgusting, really.
This goes for oil drilling and tanker spills too.
Think of all the African-Americans, Women and Homosexuals who have endured discrimination and hardships in their lives.
Now think of the politicians showcasing these tragedies and "possible solutions" (such as affirmative action, abortion rights, and gay marriage) in visual, audible and aroma form as "marketing" schemes to sell themselves to voters.
This really is prostitution in its lowest form. And all it does is remind these people of what they have gone through and are going through. It only ads to their suffering.
Well, the list goes on and on and is too long to detail here. But below is a list of even more tragic situations which are snatched up by the megalomaniacal politicians and used for EXPLOITATION:
The poor economy, unemployment, rising costs of health care, social security for seniors, unfunded education, big oil, capitalism, imperialism, separation of church and state, AIDS, energy, low wages, foreign policy, taxes, and freedom of child-porn speech in public libraries.
