District of Columbia (Field & Stream) - The estimated 190,000 missing AK-47's and pistols that the US has issued to Iraqis is "not that big of a deal" according to White House spokesman Tony Snow.
"Look, here in the United States we have living among us 60 million people who own a combined arsenal of more than 200 million firearms. So by comparison, 190,000 missing weapons among a country of 27.5 million people is peanuts!" said Mr. Snow.
"Besides, it's not like we gave away bullets to go with the weapons to be used against our troops -- although we can't be sure. Even if we did, it would not be the first time. I would also point out that it is just further evidence of what these terrorists will do to attempt to destroy our people and our way of life."
