Washington DC - World ASS' Press: - early polls are showing a certain amount of confusion over who is actually in the running for President.
A recent survey of voters, taken door to door as well as online, have shown an increasing amount of people wanting RU PAUL to become the next President of America.
Census takers have had to inform the puzzled citizenry that Ru Paul, the six foot plus drag queen, is not actually in the running.
"This would appear to explain why there has been so much positive publicity surrounding Ron Paul and his election campaign" said a spokesperson from the Department of ticking boxes, "It appears to have been a case of mistaken Identity. When we started showing Ron Paul's picture around, the people started saying, that's wasn't him and that Ron Paul is a two meter tall black man in a purple dress"
A spokesperson from the real Ron Paul's campaign office declined to comment.
Ru Paul however has decided to run for president in the wake of these findings and was reported to have said "Hot damn baby! Imagine me getting into the White House? I'm blacker than Obama, as well as being more man than he will ever be and I am more woman than Hilary, I also gots better legs y'all"
