A 40 year old Alabama woman was charged with D.U.I (driving under the influence) for her escapades on her horse. The woman, who was weaving erratically through traffic, attempted to flee when officers turned on their sirens. Her horse rammed a police car and then attempted to run.
Upon her arrest, it was discovered that the saddlebag contained crystal meth, marijuana, unidentified pills, and a pipe. The horse was immediately placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and illegal substances. He also failed the field sobriety test when he was unable to count backwards from ten.
A sheriff's deputy is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital from assault by the horse during the body cavity search. The horse kicked him in the chest and threw the officer across the room.
Both suspects are being held without bond at the county detention center. While the woman has not arrest record, it is uncertain about the horse. His fingerprints did not match anything in the FBI files, but he was carrying no identification and has not answered any questions.
