The Supreme Court is the most secretive Court in America - and being Above the Law - they keep it that way.
They can be old, senile and toothless - and will stay on the Court as long as they please. That is real Power.
None of that 'By the People' nonsense for them.
Their Philosophy is 'Do What we Say... (not what we do).
No one can lay a Lawsuit on them - it's against the Law.
Most of the Male members belong to secret Extreme Right Wing organizations - and Justice Thomas is also suspected of being a secret member of several DC Strip Clubs.

Every time they destroy some basic Law for the Citizens - (on Abortion, Voting, Guns) - - the Powerful non - profit Right Wing social Clubs give them a big Banquet.
Then They get up and say how Justice is getting better and better for all the Citizens. Then everybody Claps and they all Chow down(at taxpayer expense).
So we have 5 - 6 extremely Right Wing, Male, Catholic, Anti - abortion Justices doling out Justice to a Liberal Country - that is 80% Non - Catholic.
That is a great for the Citizens, right?
