America is a beautiful country to visit but the inhabitants own 20 million guns and buy more every year. Guns are easy to buy and there are more gun shops than hamburger establishments.
You can also buy a gun on the Internet . You can't carry one on a plane - but can carry one everywhere else. It is the only Country where the citizens are better armed than the Police.
You need a Tourist Gun because of American laws. If travelling by car - and you get in someone's way - they can legally shoot you - and you have to shoot back at them to protect yourself.
There is a Republican devised 'Stand your Ground Law’ - if you feel any Fear in your Mind about a person - you can legally shoot that Person. And the Courts have upheld it.
Thousand of people die and are injured in automobile 'Road Rage accidents in America - due to this law. But drive courteously and respect the traffic rules and you will be fine.
A new pastime in America is shooting up Schools. Unhappy students or adults (many Mentally ill) easily and quickly buy a gun - go to the nearest school and blast away - killing students and teachers.
America is the only country where mentally ill people can easily buy as many guns and military rifles as they want. This is the way Congress wants it-as guns are a big industry.
School shootings has resulted in Conservatives calling for even more guns. They want teachers to wear guns - and if anyone comes into the school, the Shooter and the Teacher can engage in a gun battle to the death. Conservatives think so logically
Gun owners say the Constitution allows all citizens to be Armed to the Teeth. And it is necessary to defend their country.
But America has heavily armed City police, County police, and State police. Every State has a large National Guard and There is the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Border Patrol police.
But many Citizens still want to be armed. The idea is if everyone is armed - it will be a more Peaceful society.
It hasn't proven to be that way yet - America is one of the most violent countries on Earth.
But it is a beautiful country to visit - and if you get your Tourist Gun - you will feel safe and have a good trip. You will see many scenic wonders. And the Americans are charming people. Just don't get them Angry.
