Donald J. Trump Elementary School, Covina, CA. Education reporter Andy Cooperson for Spoof News. Here at Trump Elementary, and at K-6 schools across the country, the real cost of the Covid-19 virus won't be seen for at least a year. Then, as third-graders move up to fourth grade, the failure of distance learning, which was necessitated by the danger of in-class schooling, will be evident.

Kids will "set" at desks in their fourth-grade classrooms. They will also "lay" down on the grass at recess. An entire generation of elementary school students will have acquired a grammar problem that once was only found among the few kids who skipped third grade and never learned the difference between sit/set and lay/lie. It will plague them all their lives.

That's one reason the school board here decided to change the name of Badillo School to that of Trump Elementary. As adults, the once third graders can justify their grammatical errors by saying "I'm a victim of Trump education."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
