Held on the very next day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday can always be depended on to fall on that particular day of the week, because the aforementioned Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday.
This year, Black Friday is set to be on November 29, and, by the shrewd process of counting backwards in 'ones', it can be quickly calculated that Thanksgiving will take place on November 28.
