Tallahassee, Florida. A new scandal has rocked the Trump Administration as the Federal Emergency Management Agency [FEMA] begins the clean-up operation following Hurricane Dorian's movement toward states farther up the East Coast.
The sponges that President Donald Trump planned to personally hand out to Floridians as part of the post-Dorian clean up effort were supposed to be American-made. In fact, the packaging indicates they were "Made in USA." The Spoof was unable to find any U.S. company that made that particular sponge.
Further investigation revealed that the sponges were indeed "Made in USA"... a recently created factory town named USA near Shanghai, China. Customs officials. confused by the name, have failed to collect the 20% tariff that Trump recently imposed on a long list of items, including sponges.
The sponge handout has been cancelled.
