The Trump administration is expanding its request to add a citizenship question to the upcoming 2020 census which is conducted every 10 years.
According to an anonymous White House official, "We need an understanding of how many illegal aliens are in our country," and added, "this includes beings from outside our solar system, as well as from other countries actually on Earth."
It seems that, in the previous census in 2010, many Earth-bound extraterrestrials 'fessed up and voluntarily checked the 'other' box under 'race', and wrote in the planet and solar system they came from.
The White House believes that it is time to get a true accounting of how many other-worldly visitors are on our soil. The government has a list of "possible" ETs that are currently in hiding among us, but they remain unconfirmed.
When asked for comment, President Trump stated, "It's obvious that these intruders did not go through the proper process. I'm just waiting for one of the little buggers to want to be taken to our leader. That'll be awesome."
