President Donald Trump's prediction that the people will revolt if he is impeached has received enthusiastic endorsement from Etaoin Shrdlu, supreme commander of a far right, Minute Man-style, rag-tag band of Second Amendment zealots. Shrdlu told The Spoof today that his men and women were ready for war if congress removes Trump from office.
"What we've trained for all these years was not for a Russian or Chinese invasion. The real threat to America is from within, from our own government, led by liberal Democrats who would unseat a constitutionally elected president. The real purpose of the Second Amendment is to protect Americans from a tyrannical government, which is why the amendment authorizes "A well-regulated Militia," such as ours. When Trump needs us, we'll be there."
The text of the amendment: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
