When one man's wife asked him if he wanted her to wash his trousers at the weekend, he initially told her "no", but, at her insistence, gave in, and made a remarkable discovery!
Moys Kenwood, 54, was in his bedroom on Sunday, when his wife appeared in the doorway, and asked where his 'work trousers' were, and if he'd like her to wash them. The teacher answered in the negative, saying that they'd only been washed last month, and weren't filthy yet. Mrs Kenwood rolled her eyebrows, and told her husband to find them and bring them to her to wash.
The henpecked Hull man obediently obeyed, and checked the pockets first, for any snotty handkerchiefs or, worse still, bits of ancient tissue paper. What he found, aside from a few unsightly balls of 'fluff' and a paper clip, was a beautiful and unexpected $10 note!
"At first, I thought it was just a piece of folded-up paper, but when I took it out, unfolded it, and realised the enormity of the situation, I was elated. It was like all my birthdays had come at once!"
Being a cunning sort of chap, he said nothing to his wife, and even chuckled when he handed her the trousers.
"What are you chuckling at?" she asked.
Kenwood was discreet:
"Oh, nothing, dear. Thank you for washing my trousers."
Kenwood later spent the money on 'something very wasteful'.
