Washington, DC Hillary announced in her latest press conference that she had selected songstress Taylor Swift to be her running mate in the coming presidential election.
"She has per finger on the pulse of what today's youth are thinking!" said Hillary. "How else would she score all those No. 1 records?"
"God knows no one can understand this younger generation. They spend all their time staring at their cell phones and texting." confessed Hillary. "WHAT are they thinking?" she asked.
Political commentators have labeled the announcement as a bold move to capture the youth vote and to use Swift's music in her campaign. Many candidates have been derided for using music without getting prior approval.
Swift was quoted as saying, "I only have two words, GIRL POWER!" She has begun writing derogatory songs about the other candidates, claiming she dated many of them.
