Liking about as lifelike as when he was President, Reagan appeared before the crowd.

Detroit, MI Spectators were startled to see the ghost of Ronald Reagan suddenly appear at the most recent Republican debate in Detroit.

When interviewed by journalists, Reagan's Ghost said, "I really had to come back to see if I could get all these "Republicans" to stop invoking my name! I don't want to have anything to do with any of these clowns!"

"Let's face it," Reagan's ghost continued, "I really wasn't all that great. I had Iran-Contra, but nothing on the scale of Watergate. That puts me as the only Republican re-elected without a major scandal. I know with Nixon and the Bushes, there hasn't been a lot to emulate in the GOP. But please just stop quoting me, making up stuff about how great I was, and let me rest in peace!"

With that, Reagan's Ghost vanished.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
