SPRINGFIELD, Illinois - President Obama took some time out from his busy schedule to visit the capital of Illinois.
He had been asked to travel to Springfield by state Senator Hayley Martha Tuckerbucker [D-Kankakee].
The Land of Lincoln State, taking a page from the Colorado book is proposing that a marijuana law which will allow for the purchase and use of marijuana be placed into law.
Senator Tuckerbucker stated that the revenue from the tax on pot would bring in tens of millions of dollars a year.
She said that 50 percent of the money could go into the State Food Stamp Program which has been in the red for 14 months.
The senator stated that anyone who opposes the measure is just heartless, uncaring, and un American.
President Obama stated that although he does not use pot himself, he does not see anything wrong with responsible adults using it if they so desire.
Mrs. Obama on the other hand is against the bill and she has told her husband that he really needs to keep his mouth shut regarding the legalizing of marijuana.
SIDENOTE: The president responded by saying, "Say hon. What the hell do I care? I mean sugar cakes, it's not like I'm running for office or anything."
