CARSON CITY, NV - Nevada Governor, Brian Sandoval, announced today that Nevada will lower the legal drinking age in Nevada from 21 to 12.
The announcement came shortly after Colorado announced that it reaped $2.1 million from marijuana sales in January, the first month of legal sales.
Governor Sandoval's spokesman, Prience Regis, said that Nevada would be able to increase tax revenue by $14.87 million.
In addition, he added, Governor Sandoval is considering lowering the legal age of prostitution from 21 to 12 as well.
This would increase revenue by up to $7.4 million per year and would lower unemployment among teenagers.
