CHICAGO - Vice-President Biden was addressing a convention of The Global Political Movement League in the Windy City when he was asked a question by a reporter with Political Salad Bar Magazine.
Savannah Bamboo with PSBM asked the vice-president what he thinks that the USA should do about the volatile situation in the Ukraine.
The Vice-President took a sip of his Lipton Tea and commented that it was a very good question.
He then told Miss Bamboo that he really and truly believes that the answer is a very simple one. The vice-president said that the USA should simply make the Ukraine the 51st state.
Biden added that with the Ukraine being a part of the United States it would change the total complexion from President Vladimir Putin's point of view.
"How so Mr. Vice-President?" Bamboo asked.
Vice-President Biden replied that if the Ukraine becomes a state in the United States of America then Putin would not dare attack it because it would be just like Russia attacking Iowa or Montana.
