DENVER - According to the National Commission on Tourism, Colorado has just become the most popular state in the nation.
And much of that honor can be attributed to the fact that on January 1, 2014, it became legal in the state to buy and use marijuana.
Senator Shepherd A. Honeybeaker [D-Colorado Springs] stated that he knew that the law would be a virtual gold mine for the entire Rocky Mountain State.
He recalls telling his third wife Dee Dee Honeybeaker that Colorado was going to see all kinds of money coming in from each of the the 49 states.
And now the National Commission on Tourism has also revealed that Colorado has just become the number one destination for newlyweds.
He remarked that Hawaii and Florida used to be the two places that saw a huge percentage of newlyweds but now that Colorado is known as The Rocky Mountain High, High State, flights into Colorado have increased by 700 percent.
SIDENOTE: Senator Honeybeaker stated that there is even a bakery in Aspen that will make pot-flavored wedding cakes.
