Mother Knows Best!

"Thank Heaven for Little Girls," Maurice Chevalier sang in the background recently when it was announced at Zoo Atlanta that the panda twins born in July, once thought to be male, are female. Blimey!

As reported in Oh, boy! Atlanta zoo finds out 'male' panda cubs are actually girls on NYDailyNews.com, "Curator Rebecca Snyder said it is difficult to determine the sex of pandas before they are 3, and blood tests confirmed the truth."

The mom of the panda twins has confided to friends, however, that she suspected her offspring were girls very early. In fact within the first days of life. At the age of two days, the baby pandas became addicted to the tunes of pop singer Pink. Also, according to their mom, they love to listen to Marty Robbins singing "A White Sport coat and a Pink Carnation" and Bruce Springsteen crooning "Pink Cadillac."

And that's in addition to watching the 1986 movie Pretty in Pink most of the time. And when they're not doing that, they're begging their mom for permission to join NOW (The National Organization for Women).

What clinched it, though, was when they started non-stop chanting in unison those three little words that females are famous for:

"Take me shopping."
