At a political debate on gun control, the head of the NRA was asked to read out loud the Second Amendment of the US Constitution. He looked it up on his smart phone and began to read "A well regulated militia . . ."
Shocked at seeing the word "regulated," the leader of the world's largest gun rights organization panicked. He then grabbed his smart phone and searched for the definition of "regulate". Happily, he announced that the definition was "control or maintain the rate or speed of (a machine or process) so that it operates properly."
He then went on to say, "Oh, good. I thought it meant something else. Fortunately, even our founding fathers wanted us to continue with our speed of gun development and the rate of amunition firing capability."
After the debate, his former high school English teach asked if she could change his grade. She sadly learned it was too late and he can keep his diploma.
