The Arkansas National Guard has orders to shoot down any drone that invades Arkansas air space.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas - After thousands of Arkansas residents issued complaints to their state senators the Arkansas Senate has voted by a vote of 27-8 to ban drones flying over the state.

Senator Pilbert P. Washmeister [R-Hot Springs] spearheaded the bill which ran into a heated debate on the floor.

Several senators who opposed the banning of the drones said that they were vital for the purpose of having President Obama spy on unsuspecting criminals who could be engaged in some kind of unsuspecting crime.

Senators on the other side of the fence argued that federal drones would be intruding on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness of the law abiding citizens of the great state of Arkansas, home of such noted individuals as President Bill Clinton, country music artist Glen Campbell, and actor Arthur Hunnicutt (Pa Kettle).

After the vote was taken two of the senators who opposed banning the drones said that they were so upset that they are both thinking of resigning from the Arkansas Senate and moving down to Louisiana.

SIDENOTE: The governor has stated that he has made Washington, D.C. aware of the fact that if any federal drones invade Arkansas air space they run the risk of getting shot down by an Arkansas National Guard surface-to-air missile.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
