BIRMINGHAM, England - Twenty-five-year-old football star Ashley Young has just received the thrill of his young life.
He recently received a personal invitation from Queen Elizabeth II, to attend her grandson Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton.
Young, who is Aston Villa's second striker, was so excited at hearing the news that he jumped up high in the air and landed on a discarded bottle of Stella Artois.
Although he did hurt his foot the team physician, Dr. Winthrop Wymering checked him out and stated that he will not be missing any games and that his foot is amazingly even stronger now than when he first stepped on the Stella Artois bottle.
Ashley was born in Stevenage Hertfordshire where he says the citizenry treats him as if he were Billy Shakespeare himself.
The young lad (no pun intended) remarked to his fellow teammate Fabian Delph that he is really looking forward to hearing The Rolling Stones play at William and Kate's wedding reception.
He added that he still recalls sitting at the dinner table at the young age of four and hearing his mother singing her all-time favorite song "Jumping Jack Flash."
Ashley's father, who is of Jamaican descent, recently received a letter from the president of Jamaica informing him that he has issued a proclamation changing the name of the town of Cuffy Gully, Jamaica to Ashley Gully, Jamaica.
Tickety Boo News has reported that Ashley Young will be taking the gorgeously sexy Pixie Lott as his date to the April 29, 2011 wedding.
