As the nation warms-up for the media wank-fest that will be the marriage of Kate "You would wouldn't you?" Middleton and Prince "He's starting to look like his dad, isn't he?" William, pollsters Youguff have reported a steady drop in interest in the Royal Wedding.
A spokesbird for Youguff said "We've seen a 5 point drop in interest in the wedding. Public interest has dropped from 'mild disinterest' to 'couldn't give a monkey's'", in fact, we predict that in the next few months it could drop as low as, 'William and Kate who?'
Media expert, Roy Smart of Media Consultancy Smart-i said: "This is quite early on in the day for such an extrodinary amount of public apathy. Usually, we have to wait until five months in, and the third Nicholas Witchell documentary before we witness this level of disinterest. We haven't even got past our first Daily Express commemorative pull-out Edition, and already people are practically nauseous with the amount of media coverage."
The situation has been blamed on rising levels of sychophancy amongst royal experts.
