That's right. It says so, in the Daily Telegraph.
It says: "David Cameron yesterday sent congratulations to Ed Miliband, the Labour leader, on the birth of his new son."
Blimey!
So what's the background? Digging further, the Telegraph discovered that "Justine Thornton, Mr Miliband's girlfriend, gave birth to their second son, who has yet to be given a name, late on Sunday night..."
Stunned by these revelations, EIF News reporters first checked the facts with Univesity College Hospital and found that Ms Thornton was indeed delivered of a son, weighing in at 8lb 3oz.
But the more surprising news that the Prime Minister "sent congratulations" also turned out to be true.
"Oh yeah - that's straight up... kosher," said a Tory insider.
"Dave's still pretty up about the birth of his own kid a few weeks ago, so he was keen to send a message to Ed. And, any road up, it's the kind of thing you do for a colleague, innit?"
But the story doesn't end there.
Mr Miliband will now miss a few parliamentary events as he takes a couple of weeks' paternity leave.
EIF News reporters are watching developments.
