Gordon Brown, manager of the Red Devils, has admitted that it looks as though the title will be going to the Blues of West London. A series of poor performances have left the legendary Scottish manager needing a miracle.
"The Blues are in the driving seat now. Even if we don't drop any more points I don't think that we can close the gap. I must take some of the blame for my selection policy. Maybe I should have dropped Darling. He's no longer the safe pair of hands I need."
The Red Devils have been the top team in the land since 1997. During that time they have repeatedly played and lost in Europe. Now, with supporters' interest at an all-time low, it looks as though relegation is on the cards.
West London Blues, with their slick passing and their mixture of experience and youth, look set to win the title. Under Dave Cameron they have shown considerable improvement. Now they are just one match away from qualifying for Europe.
