The Monster Raving Loony Party started by Screaming Lord Sutch in 1983 has changed its name for this General Election, to The Official Monster Raving William Hill Loony Party, after the news that bookmakers William Hill are sponsoring the party.
The current leader of the party is Alan "Howlin Laud" Hope who describes the deal with bookmakers William Hill as the looniest election sponsorship deal ever.
One of the first policies proposed by The Monster Raving Loony Party, was the all day opening of pubs, at a time when most people thought it was totally mad so you never know some of their policies could become law in the future.
Supporters of the Monster Raving Loony Party, want MPs who claimed expenses which they were not entitled to pay back double the amount they claimed. That would soon put a stop to their expenses claims. The Monster Raving Loony Party would get a lot more support if it was not for the fact that to many loonies vote Labour at present,lets hope it changes.
