London - (Smoke 'N' Mirrors): Treasury mug punters are seething in silence after illusionist Gorgon Brown claimed to have predicted the Lotto draw number results but failed to say how.

"Tricks of the trade!" was all his spokesman offered.

But UK Fraud Squad sources were having none of it as they began a probe that a massive split personality, er... split TV screen! - conjuring trick contributed to the trompe l'oeil.

"Basically he's using similar tricks to his old Budget Day forecasting chicanery," a police source commented.

Another theory was that he had been in telepathic contact with Pentagon hacker Gary McKinnon who's picked up some classified alien telepathetic mind reading techniques.

Uri Geller says it's all bollox.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
