Local radio station 665 closed down today after seven years of broadcasting because bosses pulled the plug, describing it as 'crap'
Steve Shite and Geraldine who presented the breakfast show were devastated by the closure. Shite told us:
"I'll never understand why they said we were crap. We brought the people traffic updates, and our 'Which Washing Powder Does Your Mum Use?' feature was immensely popular. I'm as sick as a Macaw me."
Late night DJ Mike Smarm told us:
"This is a tragedy. With us off the air, who's going to play 'Suicide Is Painless' to all the lonely people in the wee small hours?"
We never actually tune in to 665, but we did listen to a couple of tapes. They were shit. Bollocks to what Shite, Geraldine and Smarm say. The airwaves will be all the better for their absence.
