UK - Gerald Clusterbuck, 48, a Lecturer in Self Aggrandisement at Scunthorpe University Of Trout Fishing, this evening slammed the classical dissertation on deliverance from slavery by US author Alex Haley, 'Roots' as 'Racist.'
Speaking from a podium, with a microphone positioned near his arse, Clusterbuck condemned the global bestselling classic, saying:
"Roots is racist. It portrays Africans as being not quick enough to get away from slave traders, of having stupid names like Kunta Kinte and Chicken George. It portrays black people doing crap jobs like picking cotton and serving as train conductors. It then goes on to imply that they're all stupid enough to want to return to Africa. It's an absolute racist disgrace."
At which point, somebody threw an egg at him, which left him with egg on his face, effectively.
Some black people in the audience expressed their disapproval by shouting "We didn't bomb anybody!" and several disgruntled people of mixed race chose to express their contempt for such scurrilous remarks by walking out. Including by all accounts, a monkey, which was shaking its head in disbelief.
Clusterbuck put his house up for sale when some chavs moved in next door.
More as we get it.
