Internet company Yahoo are on the hunt for new faces to add to their repertoire of smilies.
An advert posted on the network asks for people with 'unusual facial expressions' to apply before July 1.
The advert also states that people with 'standard emoticon faces such as frown, grin and angry need not apply'
Yahoo spokesman Mr Greeting says of the campaign "we needed some fresh ideas, and it seemed reasonable to search for inspiration not in the brains of designers, but on the heads of the public".
Successful applicants are to be featured in the world famous smiley list from August this year following photography sessions and artistic development.
No payment is offered, but face models will have the satisfaction of gurning at yahoo users until the end of time.
