In response to recent criticism over soldiers pay, the government has announced plans to deploy traffic wardens into the worlds trouble spots such as Iraq.
After seven weeks weapons training, these most hated of all civil servants will be going "Rock and roll" in downtown Baghdad.
A government spokesman announced:
"The media have hooked onto the fact that we pay jumped up meter maid's more than troops we have sent into war-zones around the globe.
In response to this, a specially trained detachment of crack traffic wardens will be inserted into Iraq to do their bit for the war effort."
Concerns that the little yellow band on their peaked caps may draw attention from enemy snipers has been dismissed.
