For the 2016 Olympics Chicago, Illinois has been selected as one of the four finalist cities. Chicago is an obvious choice for the Olympics because of it's high murder and crime rate as well as an overall ghetto feeling.
The athletes should feel safe though because officials would place heavy security on the Athlete's Village to deter violence.
"We feel that gang violence will not be a major problem to the athletes. Unless of course gang members have a bet on a country or event, then we have some trouble." says an IOC executive.
And what about the famous Chicago wind? Well that will only add to the difficulty level of some events. But the athletes should only embrace this challenge and combined with the fear of getting knifed by a gang, it will make the 2016 games even more interesting to watch.
