The former leader of the UK Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, has been elevated to the British House of Lords.
As a thank you for all his hard work helping to get the Conservatives re-elected, Prime Minister Boris Johnson wrote to Her Majesty the Queen recommending that he is elevated to the House of Lords.
The UK House of Lords is, in essence, a last chance saloon for useless, doddery old members of the UK parliament who have gone well past their sell-by date. Either that, or they are otherwise of no use whatsoever.
Mr Corbyn will be henceforth known as "Lord Wreath of Knotinvolved" and has been appointed the government's special adviser for wreath laying.
