London - U.S. readers of a popular site based in Britain specializing in parodies of news and popular culture, inundated the publisher with emails, tweets and Facebook posts, asking the management of the blog to explain why there are so many stories in the publication about someone named Harry Maguire.
A group of the American readers were recently interviewed in a London pub after making the journey across the pond to inquire about the Premier League footballer.
"Most of us thought he was the new Prime Minister, but now we are told Boris Johnson holds that office. Turns out he's a soccer player," said one satire fan, most of whom know nothing about international sports.
"He must be even more important than the Prime Minister if they write so many stories about him. I heard he has a rather large head," said another.
The group planned to get on a train headed for Manchester the following day to investigate the Harry Maguire situation further.
