Downing Street, London, U.K. Exclusive to The Spoof. In his first act as prime minister, even before officially taking office, Boris Johnson has renounced the 1783 Treaty of Paris in which Britain recognized the independence of her rebellious American colonies.
"We are reclaiming America's thirteen wayward colonies, returning them to their rightful place in the Empire," Johnson announced in his first tweet from the prime minister's office. "Donald Trump is right. It's time for all Americans to go back where they came from. And so many of the Americans are so fed up with Trump, that I expect there will be little opposition to America rejoining the U.K."
When asked what he thought Trump's reaction would be, Johnson responded: "Trump knows all about rescinding international agreements. He does it all the time."
Celebrations broke out almost instantly in tea shops across the U.S., with repeated shouts of "Long Live the Queen!"
Trump has retreated into his palatial estate at Mar -A - Lago in Florida and is unavailable for comment.
