Although he has not spoken to her for more than forty years, and she has been happily married to a perfect man for 25 of those, grammar pedant Brian Asshat, 63, still believes that he has a chance with the love of his early twenties, Karen Brassingthwaite.
He told us 'Whenever I think of Karen, I still think that we could be together.'
Brian spends his life correcting grammar on the internet and collecting paper-clips.
Karen's husband John is a successful businessman, evening and weekend fire-fighter, and the father of their three equally successful and brilliant children.
We wanted to tell Brian to move on, but it is too late.
When asked about him, Karen Brassingthwaite said 'Brian Asshat, no it doesn't ring any bells'.
