A 25-year-old female named LaTania Blackburn, says she has finally found the true meaning of love, when, after being single for over 15 years, she married a zoo gorilla.
LaTania and her gorilla/husband, Amadou, appeared on ITV's early morning show, Thursday, to explain why she decided to unite in holy matrimony with her favourite zoo animal in a ceremony attended by 36 zookeepers last week, at the Negara Zoo in Malaysia, reports the Weirdo Chronicles.
"Amadou was taught sign language by a zoologist, and he proposed to me when he saw me for the first time," LaTania told the show's hosts. "I knew that we were meant to be."
LaTania told the show Amadou got down on one knee to propose, and she understood his hand signals, and said "yes".
Several months later, LaTania gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Tarzan. This is the first human gorilla hybrid in history.
She says her new life partner is never unkind to her, and the gorilla is always happy. They sleep in the same bed, and she keeps several boxes full of greens near the bed in case they get the munchies.
