Scottish Independence - What Will Happen To Empty Bank Premises?

Funny story written by Auntie Jean

Thursday, 11 September 2014

Any Bank Buildings vacated by nervous banks after a "Yes" vote could be used to house low risk savings companies willing to lend money to small businesses. The companies will have to use people's savings to generate money and to lend money out politely and respectfully to the public.

This revolutionary idea will mean the new companies will be the exact opposite of most modern day banks with pampered upper management with their fingers in the financial pie.

Currently if you put money into a bank it becomes the property of the bank which usually wastes it on senior bankers' bonuses and massive salaries. Many people think that Scotland may be well rid of the top-heavy, uncaring existing banks.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
