Commuters flee rush-hour file

Funny story written by Joe Leff

Wednesday, 28 August 2013

Passengers fled on to tracks after a box file burst open on a train during rush hour yesterday in central London.

The file contained dozens of lengthy, boring business reports and detailed minutes of interminable committee meetings.

Some passengers were screaming, and fighting broke out when office workers began blaming each other.

One woman was seen berating her husband. "How many times have I told you not to bring your work home?" she yelled.

Several younger businessmen, clutching their I-pads, were perplexed, having never seen a box-file before, let alone such awesome contents.

The National Union of Office Workers (NUOW) are investigating the incident, and BT Police have opened a file on it.

Some passengers were delayed by more than 180 minutes.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
