Chicago, IL - Commuters on Monday morning were taken aback at just how noticeably quiet their journey was.
This report comes after a apparently much more jovial Friday morning L ride.
"This is definitely...a lot quieter than Friday." said concerned local commuter Jason Kline. "It just feels, I don't know, sadder." Mr Kline, 32, who works in Chicago's infamous business district 'the loop' said he can't remember the last time his journey was so opressivley silent and hopes that it doesn't continue.
"Friday was brilliant; there was chatting, laughing...even some random girl smiled at me, everyone was just in a great mood, I don't know what happened? The vibe is just miserable today." he said.
The Chicago Transport Authority were not available to comment on the incident.
