Spurs boss, Harry Redknapp, having almost secured the signing of Joe Cole from Liverpool, hasn't ruled out the possibility of making a move on North London rivals Arsenal, for Samir Nasri.
Harry was quick to shrug off rumours connecting Nasri with Manchester United, telling reporters:
"I can't see Nasri going up that Manchester. I mean, it's northern innit. No disrespect to me old mucker, Alex - but that Manchester's a bit dodgy an' that, and the foreign lads gets a bit intimidated by it. You've only gotta look at Tevez, and Vidic...they ain't happy bunnies up there mate. I mean, who in his right Venetian blind would want black pud when they can 'ave pie n mash n liquor, or a cushty Brick Lane bagel? No brainer innit."
Redknapp then went on to state that Spurs were reasonably confident of landing Nasri, and also confided that Liverpool are poised for a last minute swoop on Wesley Sneijder.
He refused to comment on the possibility of entering a bid for Liverpool's Steven Gerrard, which indicates from past experience that Harry's probably up to something.
More as we get it.
