Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour announced today that he has bought Manchester United from the Glaziers.
For many months the Manchester United supporters have been wearing green scarves to complain about the Glaziers takeover involving their £270 million initial investment and the £200 million payment-in-kind loan.
"Well, they wanted us to get out and now we have" said Glazier in a press interview. "Mansour offered us £500 million and we took it. Besides which we are sick of the rain in Manchester"
Manchester City will sell Old Trafford for £100 million to Land Securities who intend to build a shopping centre and penthouses, and will divest other assets like Sir Alex Ferguson's red wine collection.
Manchester United fans will be offered pieces of the turf at £200 each and the chance to buy seats at £500 each.
As a result there will only be 2 relegations this year from the Barclay's Premier League and 3 promotions from the Championship.
Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday are looking on the deal with interest.
