It's not often that footballers successfully make a switch between their chosen sport and boxing, but that is exactly what Cardiff City and Wales striker Craig Bellamy has done, after opening his very own brand new state-of-the-art boxing academy in the heart of Cardiff city centre.
Bellamy, 31, who has been shunted-on by more clubs than Mike Tyson rained down blows on Frank Bruno, has always had a soft spot for boxing - usually the other bloke's temple - and recently decided to throw his considerable weight behind the game.
Much work has been done behind the scenes, and it all came to fruition in Caroline Street during the early hours of Sunday morning, when two men, aged 20 and 26, sustained facial injuries after 'a brief discussion' about boxing with Mr Bellamy.
Cardiff City FC have said it would be inappropriate to comment on Bellamy's Boxing Academy, but confirmed the striker would be in the squad for the game at Norwich City on Saturday, albeit wearing boxing gloves.
Remember the golf club incident with John Arne Riise?
